Birders: Kathryn and I decided to spend last saturday in Moscow, ID to
take in their first Intl Migratory Bird Day events. There were many
interesting exhibits: books, plants, nests, shade coffee, software,
events for kids, bird house building, live raptor display: kestrel, saw
whet, flammulated, barn, great horned owls, and a field trip hosted by
Charles Swift and wife Deb. Kathryn got a life bird thanks to Charles:
a Vaux's Swift. (I don't list since I am just the spotter and scope
packer of the team). I hope Kathryn doesn't read this. :-)
We look forward to going there again next year and encourage other
Inlanders and Tweeters to do the same. Hans & Kathryn (Katie) Krauss
