Tonight, there is a HOODED ORIOLE at my feeder. I have seen him 3 times
within an hour, first on top of the seed feeders and then, at my hummingbird
feeder. Since I thought that he couldn't reach the sugar water with his
beak, I immediately ran out with an orange half and set it on top of the
hummingbird feeder. Well of course, he ignored the orange and continued his
pursuit of the nectar. Apparently, he CAN reach it. My Sibly's says this is
rare sighting and I don't recall ever seeing a posting on this bird before.
Also, at the same time, 2 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS showed up after a 2 year
absence. Looks like the rain really brought the birds out.
