Craig and I had met this morning in Washtucna and he told me about the
green-tailed towhee at Hatton Rest stop. We went to the rest stop and could
not find it. We decided to cross the Hwy (395) and bird a sage brush
coulee. We found the bird there. We did not push it so hopefully it will
stick around. To get to the spot go to the gas station on the NW corner of
the intersection of Hwy 395 & Hwy 26. To the right of the gas station is a
small road that runs alongside Hwy 395. On this road you will find a yellow
35MPH sign ona corner and a guzzler (white) on the right side of the road.
This is where we last saw the bird.
