Hi, Tweets

Just to add to the list . . . tonight *my* Swainson's thrush was back and
singing lustily at about 9pm+ Neat to hear. I live a couple blocks up the
street from the hooded oriole and have often wondered if our little bit of
elevation makes a difference in when our spring birds return. With western
tanagers being reported the last few weeks, I heard the first one in my
yard just three days ago. With the Swainson's return, all of our summer
nesters seem to have returned. It is just over 700' elevation here and
heavily wooded, considering. A small ravine in the back adds to the
habitat. Four species of woodpecker, four of owls, plus a variety of other
forest birds keeps it interesting.

Cheers, Diann
