Hi tweeters,
I have a mesh feeder for shelled peanuts at my house. It's usually busy with
Chestnut Backed Chickadees and Red-Breasted Nuthatches. I always leave some
on the deck rail for the Steller's Jays to eat. However, when they have eaten
all that I put out, one of them flies over to the feeder and hits the feeder,
thus a few peanuts dislodge and fall to the deck. Usually there is at least a
couple Steller's there waiting for this little extra. Has anyone else seen
Steller's doing this before?
