Last evening we observed 25+ short billed dowitchers in a plowed field next
to the ponds on Brady Loop West. We decided they were short billed as they
did not make any sound when feeding and we clearly heard their tututu call
as they flew directly overhead. This is quite late for dowitchers in our
area. They are usually seen in April.
