I believe this is the first county record for White-faced Ibis. I looked this morning (Monday, May 28) in foul weather a bit with no luck.

Greetings,

Today, May 26, I located a single White-faced Ibis at Kent, King County. The bird was seen in low flight south of S 204 St and west of Frager Rd S. The bird landed at the edge of a small pond and then vanished into a huge stand of Canary Reed Grass. This is the first time I have seen this species in King County. Thanks to Roger Orness for reporting seeing 2 "Likely White-faced Ibis" in the area on May 24.

Good Birding,
