The tally of birds seen at the Wenas Campout over the Memorial
Day Weekend came to 134 species. There were no real rare species seen but
this was the highest total species count in over five years. Good
sightings included NORTHERN GOSHAWK, WILD TURKEY, FLAMMULATED OWL,
LONG-EARED OWL, WHITE-THROATED SWIFT, WILLIAMSON'S SAPSUCKER, LEAST
FLYCATCHER (4), and RED-EYED VIREO.
