Subject: SAS trip to Spencer Island 11/1/2001

A couple of years ago, my wife and I took our two
llamas across the bridge, only to be immediately
confronted by a ranger who told us we could not have
our "boys" there. Like llamas would really be
harmful! Now it seems some Neanderthals can go there
and shoot up the place. Where are the rangers then?
Is it possible the hunters didn't know about the
hunting ban on the south side? Actually most hunters
I've met while birding have been quite nice. I wonder
if the rules were explained to them, if they would
have left the area right away. I tend to think they
would.
