I get frequent Annas visiting my feeder. I have seen as many as two at a time (only once were both feeding at the feeder at the same time). I had them all through last winter. I did not see them as often in the late Spring and Summer but they are back again now coming for nectar about every 20-30 minutes. Also, this morning I saw a juvenile male at the Fill in the same place someone else mentioned recently.

I tied to keep track of Anna's sightings last winter - the main problem is that some folks are not sure of their Identification.
I posted a summary in Dec, 2000, but in case folks didn't see it:
As of Jan 2001
approximately 45 birds in tweeters' backyards:
Gibson, BC
White Rock, BC
Edmonds
"Seattle": including Ballard, Shoreline, Queen Anne "South Seattle", "West Seattle", Normandy Park, Laurelhurst
Bellevue
Federal Way
Tacoma
Astoria, OR
Portland, OR

Some of these birds were banded, so keep your eyes open and Please let me know if you see any leg bands on your winter guests.
