Hi again,

I frequently see two in the yard, there were two in the plum tree all
afternoon chasing each other around, what I thought was unusual was seeing
two feeding at the same feeder at the same time. Last year I saw one or
more every day from Nov. 21st to March 30, this year Sep. 26, 27, Oct 9th
and the 15th to date.

There are still several down at the locks, I saw three males together one
day last month bird A chased bird B away and bird C took advantage by
coming down to feed on the Fuchsias. The main Fuchsia bed is just N of the
admin. building and the male Anna's can often be heard singing in the oaks
just E of the fuchsias. Another territory is around the Harlequin Glory
Bower and the day lily beds. Fuchsias there too. One of the gardeners told
me the Anna's get downright belligerent when they cut down and take in the
fuchsias for the winter...

PS They cut down all the wax-myrtles (Myrica california?) on the south east
corner so the tower can see both gates and the fence between, the crows are
angry, they love the berries, but security comes first, I guess.
