On the Seattle Audubon Society Field Trip to Sequim today (11/4), we
hunted down the EMPEROR GOOSE, aptly named Stumpy for a missing foot, in Port
Angeles. What a gorgeous bird! Most of us are counting it on our lists, but
I just wanted to make sure, since there has been so much controversy in the
past . . . is it countable? And if not, what is its status (in the process
of being accepted . . .)?
