There was a gorgeous male EURASIAN WIGEON in the tidal lagoon
across the street from the Harper boat launch (about a mile north of the
Southworth ferry dock in Kitsap County), about 3:00 p.m. Saturday
afternoon, 11/3. Sorry for the lateness of this report. There were
hundreds of AMERICAN WIGEON in the area, in the bay along the shoreline
to the north, but only about a dozen in the lagoon, including the
Eurasian -- affording great close-up views. He was really a beauty. I
did not closely examine the large flocks in the bay for more Eurasians,
my time being somewhat constricted on this trip.
