Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Wednesday November 7. If you have anything to add call

A WORM-EATING WARBLER was found November 1 on the coast just north of the
California border at the mouth of the Winchuck River. It was seen again
November 3.

The CASSIN'S KINGBIRD continues to be seen near Canby. A BROWN THRASHER
is now at the Astoria Mitigation Bank near the Astoria Airport. A
TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in Seaside November 6.

A BAR-TAILED GODWIT was with 20 MARBLED GODWITS November 3 on Coos Bay at
Empire. A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW is now being seen at Millicoma Marsh in
Coos Bay. A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was on Coos Bay off Charleston November 2
and another was seen at Boiler Bay November 5.

An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was near the mouth of the Sixes River at Cape
Blanco November 3. On November 6 over 1500 RED-THROATED LOONS, and 9000
PACIFIC LOONS flew past Boiler Bay. Several KITTIWAKES were also seen. A
MOCKINGBIRD was in Fort Stevens State Park November 4. On November 5
three PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS were at the South Jetty of the Columbia
River and many KITTIWAKES were offshore.

The EMPEROR GOOSE is still being seen on Sauvie Island and the Ridgefield
NWR area. A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was on Sauvie Island November 4; many are
now in the Willamette Valley. On November 4 two LONG-TAILED DUCKS were at
Scoggins Valley park south of Forest Grove. On November 1, 79 WOOD DUCKS
were on the Dayton Sewage Ponds. Several BARN SWALLOWS were at Ankeny NWR
during the week.

Up to 40 GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES and the SNOW BUNTING continue to be
seen on the top of Marys Peak southwest of Philomath. At least three
LAPLAND LONGSPURS are now on Mt. Pisgah near Eugene.

A RED FOX SPARROW was in the Rogue Valley at Merlin November 2. A late
SWAINSON'S THRUSH was south of Grants Pass November 6.

SURF SCOTERS, WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, and PACIFIC LOONS are still being
seen on Cascade Mountian lakes. On very low Davis Lake among the bird
swarms November 3, were a PACIFIC LOON, a EURASIAN WIGEON, a GREATER
YELLOWLEGS, 3 very late AVOCETS, and 45 BONAPARTE'S GULLS.

On November 3 a HARRIS'S SPARROW was near Plush in Lake County. A TREE
SPARROW was in Fields November 2.
