Saturday, November 3, 10:56 PM. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. Today Steve
Pink, Dennis Duffy and I birded various portions of Southern Snohomish
County. Kind of slow, main highlight was a SANDHILL CRANE near the Monroe
Dairy Prison Pond. The bird was on the South side of the road in a field,
found yesterday by Ken Knittle. Also around Monroe Two Rivers Wildlife
Management Area we had a couple WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS and a SLATE-COLORED
JUNCO and a SPOTTED TOWHEE, one of the Eastern Washington races. Word from
Michael Dossett comes of a WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL with RED CROSSBILLS along
Penn Cove on Whidbey Island. And also Marv Breece refound the BROAD-WINGED
HAWK on the Lummi Flats. Presumably, the bird was at its original location
along Hillaire Road on one of the cottonwood plantations there. That's it.

Sunday, November 4, 8:13 PM. Hello, this is Scott Atkinson with a report from
Skagit County this morning, also a couple from Snohomish County. Along the
small slough just east of the intersection of Wylie Road and Mann Road, just
to the northeast of the Skagit Game Range Headquarters a female CINNAMON
TEAL, a first winter CASPIAN TERN flying east over the river, 3 ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWKS and a LEAST SANDPIPER. Right along Wylie Road were 6 WESTERN
MEADOWLARKS. At the North Fork Access to the Skagit Game Range 12 more
WESTERN MEADOWLARKS, a GREAT EGRET, a first winter NORTHERN SHRIKE, 9 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS. Then to the South, near the Everett Sewage Treatment Plant, a
HARLAN'S HAWK and over the Stillaguamish River, close to Arlington, just to
the West, were 10 TRUMPETER SWANS. That's all.

Monday, November 5, 8:35 AM. This is Dennis Duffy. There is a NORTHERN
MOCKINGBIRD on the Edmonds waterfront along Sunset Avenue just north of the
ferry terminal. Its feeding in some blackberries and other berries there with
some GOLDEN-CROWNED and WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS. Thanks.

Tuesday, November 6, 7:28 PM. Hello, this is Steve Pink. Went to Ocean Shores
today and relocated the TOPICAL KINGBIRD. And it was at the location where it
was seen on Sunday, Duck Lake Drive, just north of Scorpion. There is a
pumping station with a blue roof and the bird was hanging about there this
afternoon between 3:00 and 3:30. It was not there in the morning, however.
Also, opposite the Silver King Motel, near Damon Point, in the scotch broom
opposite there was 1 PALM WARBLER. Thanks. Good luck and good birding.
