Did a quick run through North Seattle Community College. Good weather,
bad birding, very little, except a pair of Pied billed Grebes with a
baby!
Very cute.

Took down the chickadee box. Successful breeding. They cleaned out most
of the wood shavings i had put in and replaced it with a base of moss
then
filled in the rest with animal fur and dryer lint!
No unhatched eggs, no evidence of parasites.

Today was my first survey day for the feeders. Very quiet except for the
usual rowdy gang of chickadees, a few house finches, a flicker, a
stellars jay, a bewicks wren.

Maybe they aren't flying around because of all the polluted air.
