Saturday (11/10) I birded Ocean Shores. I ran into Patrick Sullivan and
Dave Hayden and birded with them. Patrick's report covers that day very
well.

Today (Sunday, 11/11) I started at Tokeland. On the No Trespassing dock
were several hundred MARBLED GODWITS. Try as I might, I couldn't pull out a
Bar-tailed. There were 10 WILLETS, 3 WHIMBREL and several dowitchers on
this dock also. I then found a small band of godwits to the west, at the
shoreline just north of the recently ripped up dock. In this group of
about 12 Marbleds was one BAR-TAILED GODWIT.

Returning to Ocean Shores, I again failed to locate the TROPICAL KINGBIRD.

Heading home, I stopped at Brady Loop where I saw the WHITE-TAILED KITE at
the same location where I saw it on Saturday at the west end of the loop.
Saturday I watched this bird hunt at close range as well as chase off a
NORTHERN HARRIER. At the same location today I heard but did not see the
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK. Yesterday I had good views of the perched RSHA calling
and then in flight. Also at Brady Loop today were 8 TUNDRA SWANS flying
over, 4 adults and 4 juveniles.
