Sightings for Sunday, November 11:

The Cattle Egret was again present at Highway 10 and 96th Street in Delta.
125 Lapland Longspurs were seen in the corn stubble field about 400 meters
west of 104th Street.

A Northern Pygmy Owl was seen on the road up to Cypress and another was seen
at the upper parking lot.

2 Dippers were at the Capilano fish hatchery.

1 Townsend's Warbler was at Epps Avenue in North Vancouver.

An American Kestrel was on Delta Port Way at 41B Street, and Westham Island
Road on Westham Island had an immature Northern Shrike.

Saturday, November 10:

A female Tufted Duck was seen on the outer pond of Iona Island.

A Ruddy Turnstone was with Black Turnstones on the western side of Maplewood
Mud Flats at Otter Point.

Also in North Vancouver 4 Townsend's Warbler's were along Epps Avenue in the
Deep Cove area.

A Heermann's Gull and a Western Gull were at the breakwater at White Rock
Pier.

Beach Grove had 1 and possibly 2 Common Redpolls and an Orange-crowned
Warbler.

The American Black Duck continued to be seen at the compensation lagoon at
the
Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty.

The west field of Reifel had a male Cinnamon Teal.

The 2 Long-eared Owls were still on the Richmond West Dyke, south of the
Westminster Highway.

A Hermit Thrush was at Beaver Creek in Stanley Park.

Friday, November 9:

The Cattle Egret continued to be seen at 96th Street and Highway 10 at
Boundary Bay, but as the bird sometimes goes into the barn with the cattle,
it may be difficult to see at times.

A number of birds were seen at Reifel. A Willet was seen from the north
tower
as it flew past, and a Hutton's Vireo and 8 Common Redpolls were also in
the
area along the North Dyke Trail. Another 4 Redpolls were in birch trees
near
John's house. A Yellow-rumped Warbler was along the East Dyke Trail, and an
adult Northern Goshawk was also around.

The usual field towards 96th Street in Delta had 100 Lapland Longspurs and
12
American Pipits.

2 Long-eared Owls were 250 yards north of the entrance to the Terra Nova
Reserve in Richmond, in a large bush overhanging the ditch.
