Hi Joanne,

I think Rob Saecker raises a good point. In my database I have only four
records for Snowy Egret in eastern WA (however, my records may be
incomplete). All of the Snowy Egret records fall between the months of
May and July. For Cattle Egret I have 28 records. All but four of those
records fall between the months of October and December. Fourteen of
those records are for the month of November. I think that the chances
are that it would be a Cattle Egret this time of year especially, based
on past patterns of occurrence. Either way, a small white egret in WA is
all ways a fun bird to find.
