Greetings,
This morning I spent a few hours at Luhr Beach and the Nisqually Refuge in
Thurston Co. Best birds were the male Harlequin Duck reported last week by
Jason Paulos, and a Long-tailed Duck (first year) seen from Luhr Beach.
Also in the area were a dark (peales) peregrine and plenty of water birds to
pick through. Pretty much the regulars at Nisqually, but really only hit
the twin barns area. A merlin, Sora, and a surprizing lack of sparrows were
noted. Good birding.
