We've had sustained winds between 25-30mph since yesterday
afternoon with gusts to 50mph. Pretty heavy rain as well.

Michelle and I took a very quick trip to the SJCR. Conditions
were such that we did not get out of the car. A single RED
PHALAROPE was all we could find.

There are large concentrations of gulls at Hammond Boat Basin
and the pastures on Youngs Bay.

I drove to Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park in rain, though
the wind hadn't yet come. I found only WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS
and a few PELAGIC CORMORANTS.
