Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday November 15. If you have anything to add call

On November 9 a male PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was seen where State Route 86
crosses Pine Creek near Halfway. It is still being seen.

A CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR was at Lost Creek Reservoir on the Rogue
River November 9. The next day a male LAPLAND LONGSPUR was there.

On November 11 a BLACK-VENTED SHEARWATER was seen off Boiler Bay. The
Canby CASSIN'S KINGBIRD and the Seaside TROPICAL KINGBIRD remained
through the week. A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was on Netarts Bay November 10.

The BAR-TAILED GODWIT at Coos Bay and the LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE on the North
Spit of Coos Bay are still being seen. On November 12 a RUDDY TURNSTONE
was at the South Jetty of the Siuslaw River. A FRANKLIN'S GULL passed
Boiler Bay November 13. A MERLIN and a PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER were at the
South Jetty of the Columbia River November 10. A RED PHALAROPE was there
November 14.

A late BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER was in northeast Portland November 13.
A BARROW'S GOLDENEYE and two COMMON GOLDENEYES were at Oaks Bottom in
Portland November 9. A SWAMP SPARROW was in a sparrow flock at the
Tualatin NWR near Sherwood November 11.

At Baskett Slough NWR, the Smithfield Road BURROWING OWL was seen again
November 12. Two TREE SPARROWS are now being seen nearby at the junction
of Smithfield and Livermore Roads.

Six SHORT-EARED OWLS were along Royal Avenue at Fern Ridge Reservoir
November 11. At least three TURKEY VULTURES are still at Fern Ridge. On
November 11 three LAPLAND LONGSPURS were on top of Mt. Pisgah near
Eugene.

On November 11 at least 15 BALD EAGLES and 30 GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES
were at Odell Lake in Willamette Pass. On November 8 a RED-BREASTED
MERGANSER was on Thompson Reservoir near Summer Lake. A very late AVOCET
was at Lake Abert and over 200 WHITE PELICANS were in the Warner Valley
November 11.

On November 12 an estimated 1600 BONAPARTE'S GULLS and about 2500 COMMON
MERGANSERS were at the south end of Upper Klamath Lake.

On November 14 six TREE SPARROWS were near LaGrande.
