Tweeters,
I was at Camano Island State Park today (11/18) about noon. Just at the
limits of binocular range I saw 8 to 10 small birds on the water and diving
amongst the kelp. They were generally black and white in appearance and
smaller than the horned grebes which were also present in the area. Given
the distance and limits of the binoculars they looked very much like the
pictures of marbleed murrelets in Sibley, My question is, is it possible,
probable that these were marbled murrelets?
