Location: Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge, Yakima County, Washington and
Yakima Aboretum (including the sparrow patch) and Greenway at Buchanan Lk.

A few exciting birds today including a calling TRUMPETER SWAN at the Refuge,
a very late SAY'S PHOEBE along Marion Drain and a raft of waterfowl on
Buchanan Lk. that included 12 BUFFLEHEAD, 10 COMMON GOLDENEYE, and 3 HORNED
GREBE. The sparrow feed station at the Arboretum was under a heavy attack
by a very persistant SHARP-SHINNED HAWK so there was not a lot of sparrow
action.

Trumpeter Swan (1 calling as it flew along Toppenish Creek past the
headquarters from East to West.)

Green-Winged Teal

Mourning Dove

Say's Phoebe (At Lateral A and Marion Drain in locust trees along canal bank
West of intersection.)
