On Sunday, November 11, at approximately 10:00 a.m., there were
five AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS riding the thermals about five miles
northwest of Potholes State Park, north of the Frenchman Hills Wasteway
(DeLorme, p. 53, A-5). I had them in sight for a good ten or fifteen
minutes; it was a (relatively) warm, very sunny day.
