HI Tweeters:
I was just in my local bookstore and came across this NEW title:
Birds of Washington: Field Guide. By Stan Tekiela (of
Minnesota). Adventure Publications, Inc. $13.95.
This book is a compact color photo guide of the "Common" birds of WA
State. The birds are arranged wby color with color tabs on the edge of the
pages. I wonder how useful it will be because the author choices species
like Wild Turkey which I wouldn't think of as common in WA. And under
Dark-eyed Junco, the larger photo is of the "slate-colored" type while the
"Oregon" type is shown in a small photo ( I wonder if this is his
Minnesota bias?). Has anyone else seen this book yet?
