This afternoon there was an American Dipper on rocks in and near Pipers Creek
in Carkeek Park in NW Seattle. It was just north of the stone bridge/road
over the creek.
Lots of chum salmon in the creek today. I only see Dippers at Pipers Creek
and Longfellow Creek (in West Seattle) when the salmon are running. Not
clear why. Possibly they eat salmon eggs?
