Yesterday Julia Bent led a Seattle Audubon trip to the Samish Flats. We saw a flock of about fifty pine siskins on Thomas Rd. We were able to get good looks of at least one common redpoll in our scope. There might have been more than one bird in the flock. Other highlights included a Merlin on a dike road in Edison, a flock of about 15 snipe, a dark morph rough-legged hawk and a probable prairie falcon near West 90.
