Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This

A possible CHUCK-WILLS-WIDOW was seen November 27 along Coast Street in
the Nye Beach section of Newport. It has not been relocated.

On November 24 a RUSTY BLACKBIRD was found among a large blackbird flock
near Frenchmans Bar north of Vancouver.

The Canby CASSIN'S KINGBIRD was reported November 22 and may still be in
the area. The BAR-TAILED GODWIT is still being seen at the Empire section
of Coos Bay. The possible LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL at Fern Ridge
Reservoir was seen again November 23. The Yaquina Bay YELLOW-BILLED LOON
continues to be seen. The gray phase GYRFALCON at New River is still in
the area of the Coos/Curry County line.

On November 25 a CATTLE EGRET was at Catching Slough in Coos Bay. A
HARRIS'S SPARROW is now being seen with the CLAY-COLORED SPARROW coming
to the bird seed at Millicoma Marsh in Coos Bay. On November 27 a first
winter plumaged GLAUCOUS GULL was east of Florence. Three ROCK SANDPIPERS
are now at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay. Large numbers of BROWN
PELICANS are still scattered along the coast.

COMMON REDPOLLS are now in good numbers in northeast Oregon and were
reported from Bend, Prineville, Culver, Detroit Flats, and Bingen.
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen during the week in northeast Oregon and at
Dallesport in the Columbia Gorge.

The EMPEROR GOOSE is still being seen in the Sauvie Island/Ridgefield NWR
area. Two were on Sauvie Island November 26.

A SNOWY OWL was at the Eugene Airport November 24, but did not remain. A
LONG-TAILED DUCK was on McGilchrist Pond in Salem November 16.

The elusive BURROWING OWL is still being seen along Smithfield Road in
Baskett Slough NWR. Two or more TREE SPARROWS are being seen under the
powerlines along Livermore Road. A HARRIS'S SPARROW and some SHORT-EARED
OWLS are now along Farmer Road east of the refuge.

On November 24, 71 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were among a large shorebird
flock south of Junction City.

A HARRIS'S SPARROW is now at Sawyer Park in Bend but the SUMMER TANAGER
has apparently left. On November 24 a SURF SCOTER was on the Elgin Sewage
Ponds in northeast Oregon.

Thats it for this week.
