Columbia Estuary Report 11/29/2001

A TURKEY VULTURE was being harassed by crows over Heron Avenue
in Warrenton this morning. A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was in the area
as well. A very likely, though not well seen, PALM WARBLER was
in the willows at the dirt bike track.

Two CEDAR WAXWINGS were in a flock of AMERICAN ROBINS working
over OREGON CRAB-APPLES on Airport Road.

A GREEN HERON was seen in Seaside earlier this week.

There have been tyrants, and murderers,
and for a time they can seem invincible,
