Well, I was supposed to be at home scanning photos for the next issue of
WOSNews, but there was some sunshine and Wednesday hadn't been very satisfying.
So off I went again, around 11:00, for a tour of Marymoor. The weather, of
course, deteriorated while I was there. And being a wimp (and having brought
no lunch), I left when the rain hit.

Highlights from this fairly quick tour:

American Wigeon Pair flew past the lake platform
Ring-necked Duck Three at Rowing Club
Sharp-shinned Hawk Could be same immature seen Wednesday
Orange-crowned Warbler In trees northeast of boardwalk - very yellow
WH-THROATED SPARROW Immature bird just south of windmill

The White-throated Sparrow was with Golden-crowned and White-crowned Sparrows
on the stub path to nowhere just south of the windmill. There was actually
quite a variety of sparrows there, with Spotted Towhee, Dark-eyed Junco, Song,
and Fox Sparrows as well.

I may have heard a Varied Thrush as well, but I can't be sure it wasn't a
Stellar's Jay *imitating* a Varied Thrush. I also heard a mock Red-tail in
about the same place at about the same time, and there were jays around me.

All told, I added 11 species to the list from Wednesday, for a weekly total of
45.
