I'm not sure if it is my place to point this out (being an out of stater and
east sider!) but I notice a lot of posts recently from folks going up to
Sunrise looking for owls and I'm wondering if this could be a problem for
the owls. Maybe this has already been hashed out and if so please forgive
me. If tapes and flashlights are being used this could be disturbing them
assuming the same group of owls are being targeted. I presume that tapes are
actually not allowed since this is part of Ranier National Park?
If birders are spreading out in the area it is presumably not a problem but
with limited access to high elevation Boreal Owl sites it could be a problem
in some areas. Just wondering.
thanks, Charles.
