Method: .5 hour station count from jetty 500m west of 3 rocks
SJCR using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting on beach, sitting
on ocean or sitting on river.

Notes: There was a nice feeding flock working fairly close in that
could be seen well from the jetty. At least one PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER
and a BULLER'S SHEARWATER were with the SOOTIES. There were at least
3 PARASITIC JAEGERS chasing HEERMANN'S GULLS. A LONG-TAILED JAEGER
made two passes through the feeding flock and a POMARINE JAEGER came
very near my observation spot. This is only the second time I have
seen all three jaegers in one observation period in 5 years of formal
seawatches (and 15 years of jetty watching in general).
