I had occasionally bought books from Amazon.com. Then they abruptly changed
their policies re: Privacy. I cancelled my "membership" and have not
bought another book from them, or anyplace else on line. (I have also found
that availability at smaller stores depends on their specialties, as Deborah
Wisti-Peterson indicates--e.g., the Portland Audubon Nature Store has books
on birding.)
