A Birder?s Guide to Coastal Washington by Bob Morse is now available in W.
WA bookstores and nature stores.
This new 270-page birding guide features over 160 of the better places to
see birds along Washington?s outer coast with site maps, descriptions, and
expected bird species. It also includes full color photographs of most of
the 82 Coastal Specialties by Dennis Paulson, Terry Wahl, Ruth Sullivan, Jim
Pruske, Jeff Skriletz, and Keith Brady.
In addition to a seasonal coastal checklist and information on pelagic
birding, Morse has crammed the appendices with helpful information on
lodging, camping, weather, tides, and a host of key telephone numbers and
web site addresses to make this a complete coastal guide.
Bill Tweit and Steve Mlodinow, Regional Editors of North American Birds,
edited the book.
The book retails for $18.95. It can be purchased at Flora & Fauna Books,
Seattle Audubon Society Nature Shop, The University Bookstore, Wild Bird
Unlimited outlets throughout the Puget Sound area, as well as ABA Sales.
Or, an autographed copy may be obtained by sending a check for $23.71
(includes tax, shipping) to the R. W. Morse Company, P. O. Box 12302,
Olympia, WA, 98508. For more information on the guide and birding along the
coast, check their web site at www.birdingcoastalwa.com. (be sure to look at

Morse?s Ocean Shores birding guide is no longer in print and has been
incorporated within A Birder?s Guide to Coastal Washington.
