I just received my copy of Sibley today via UPS, from Amazon. UPS
delivery was convenient, the book arrived in perfect condition, and
purchasing from Amazon saved me from still another vehicle-based
errand in the city. I would argue that buying over the web is a
conservation-based decision. Plus, Amazon's editorial and customer
reviews provide a better buying guide than walking into a bookstore
and viewing books on shelves or talking to staff (unless the staff is
especially knowledgeable in the subject).

A week ago, we had an osprey repeatedly feeding on our small lake; it
fed and roosted on a tree in front of our living room window. Then
it disappeared. Is this the time when ospreys begin their migration?
