Todd Thornton (who is still having trouble with his e-mail)
just called. He went out to the river beach when I left and
found many more shorebirds including a BAIRD'S SANDPIPER and
three RED KNOTS. When he came back through the shorebird
ponds he found a second SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER along with one
reported earlier.

So the revised South Jetty of the Columbia River list for
10/8/2001 stands at:

Black-bellied Plover 16
American Golden Plover 1
Pacific Golden Plover 1
Semipalmated Plover 42
Red Knot 3
Baird's Sandpiper 1
Western Sandpiper 22
Pectoral Sandpiper 1
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper 2
