Hi Folks,

There is a single goose hanging around the Canada Geese at the Ballard
Locks/Commodore Park that sure looks like a juv Greater White-fronted
Goose. I have almost zero experience with GWFG though. It has a yellow
bill, usually covered with grass and dirt, since it was always feeding
when I saw it, but I do think the bill has a black tip. It also has a
pattern of mottled black and white around the bill, faint, but visible.
Otherwise, it looks just like the drawing in Sibley.

If I see it again, is there anything else I should look for? I'm going to
check the tail for a white edge. In any case, it's a very attractive goose.
Oh, it's just about Brant sized.
