The OFO Birding Weekend trip to search for Boreal Owls in the Blue Mts. SE
of Walla Walla, WA (We'll be looking in Oregon) this coming weekend, Oct
12-14, is FULL. As of tonight I have 31 people signed up. Everyone who has
said they are coming and/or sent payment is registered. Further
registrations cannot be accomodated. Sorry.

Participants should come prepared with warm clothing suitable for standing
quietly, listening, on a high ridge, in the dark, the weekend before winter
starts.

Mike Denny, from Walla Walla, heard a Boreal Owl up there on the night of
Oct. 4, 2001.

OFO Birding Weekend October trips have found a Boreal Owl each of the last
four years. The birds have been heard, not seen. We're due for a sighting!
