Subject: Barn Owls

Last night I had two Barn Owls at the intersection of SR 500 and Andresen in
Vancouver. The birds are found in the southernmost "cavity" underneath the
eastern side of the overpass, most easily seen when driving north on
Andresen. Both birds were sitting in the same cavity. Construction
activity has increased in this area, and the birds have not been as regular
the last couple of months, but in day time, I can see that they have still
been there as there are lots of pellets.
I'd note, there really is nowhere to park along this stretch as it is a busy
intersection with many complex turns--most of my sightings have been
drive-by
