On !0/11/01 I visited Skamania Landing in Skamania County and was
surprised to find two downy PIED-BILLED GREBE chicks accompanying an
adult there. I can only surmise that the birds bred there after the lake
which is drained all summer to allow fish passage up Woodard Creek was
refilled this fall.
