An AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and an immature SURF SCOTER were on Mann Lake, Nez
Perce Co, ID on 6 Oct according to Keith Carlson KEC201814 at aol.com. From the
north end of Lewiston, follow US 12 south into town, cross the Clearwater
River on Memorial Bridge and immediately take the first left (east) toward
East Lewiston. Turn left (east) onto East Main Street and go about a half
mile to the flashing yellow lights. Turn right (south) onto Lapwai (a.k.a.
Lindsay Creek) Road. When the road forks stay right on Lindsay Creek Road
(Nez Perce County Road 460) and follow it about 5 miles to its terminus at
Grelle Avenue. Turn left (east) onto Grelle Avenue and just past the sharp
right curve, turn left (east) onto East Powers Avenue (a.k.a. Lapwai Road).
Continue straight (east) past the grain towers to the main parking lot. ID

Two SABINE'S GULLS, one a juvenile and the other an adult, were at Thompson
Lake, just north of Harrison, Kootenai Co, ID on 7 Oct according to Judy and
Phil Waring and Stephen Lindsay slindsay at dmi.net . The birds were along Blue
Lake Road on the south side of Thompson Lake, in the marsh area just after
turning off ID 97. ID DeLorme 60, BC-1.5.

A BLUE JAY was heard calling in Moscow, Latah Co, ID on 7 Oct by Charles
Swift charless at moscow.com He heard it around 5th and Hayes in Moscow.
Phyllis Wicks reports a BLUE JAY coming to her feeder on north Orchard
Street this past week as well. Same bird? Maybe. Maybe not.
