Hi Tweeters,
I'm hoping that some of you with your birding knowledge & connections
can give me some hints on where/whom to contact about a banded pigeon
who has been living in my Dad & stepmother's garage in Hermiston. It is
a rock dove, just your typical-looking pigeon. It showed up a week ago
and either just stands on the floor of the garage, or perches on a rod
above the garage door. It isn't afraid of anyone, and even if you shoo
it away it comes right back! They live right in town so it's mystery as
to why it chose their garage to live in.
Are there any pigeon clubs/organizations, etc. that we might contact
to find out who this bird might belong to? It's obvious that it's
comfortable around humans and has been handled.
