I went after the female surf scoter reported to me yesterday by Judy and
Craig Corder. No luck, Cindy McCormick and I did find a red-necked grebe
and four snow geese from the south boat ramp area.. Craig and Judy showed
me two black-bellied plovers and then we (Cindy, Craig, Judy, Charles Swift
and I) saw 6 white-winged scoters. There are still a few Clark's mixed in
with the western grebes and about 20 Bonaparte's gulls were in the Area.
Cindy McCormick had a white-fronted goose mixed in with Canada geese in a
field on the south side of the lake.
