Friday, 10/12 6:37 pm. My name is Curtis Pearson, 206-722-9107. Today the
BAR TAILED GODWIT was still at the Tokeland Marina. Good luck and good
birding.

Saturday, 10/13 5:51 pm. Hi this is Gene Hunn at 206-365-2043. There's a
nice
male REDHEAD down at the Kenmore pier, with a bunch of SCAUPS and RING
NECKED DUCKS. That's all.

Saturday 10/13 11:03 pm. Hi this is Stephen Mlodinow. Today Dennis Duffy
and
I birded the Olympia and Kitsap peninsulas. The most surprising bird by a
long
shot was a juvenile plumage ROCK SANDPIPER at Ediz Hook. In theory this
plumage should not occur south of the breeding grounds. Also at Ediz Hook
were two MARBLED GODWITS and a WHIMBREL. At the end of lower Elwha
River Road where it hits the Ricarian Area we had a YELLOW WARBLER and
two WHITE THROATED SPARROWS. Another surprising bird was a dark
phase FULMAR off of the Grays Marsh beach access near Sequim. At the
Three Crabs Restaurant we had FIVE EURASIAN WIDGEONS and a
couple hybrids in a big AMERICAN WIDGEON flock. At the Oyster House
not too far from Three Crabs out on Dungeness Spit could be seen 18
MARBLED GODWITS. That's about it, good luck and good birding.
