If you get this one twice, my apologies, but my e-mail
has been a little wierd for the past few days. This
morning a group of us from Tahoma Audubon traveled up
to the north end of Kitsap County to Foulweather Bluff
Sanctuary, Point No Point, and the Hansville Greenway
next to Buck Lake. We had great weather for October
(no rain), and only light winds. Foulweather was very
productive, but the highlights of the day were
spotting 2 COMMON SNIPES in Vic Nelson's front yard
near Point No Point, (Thanks for the hospitality,
Vic!) getting a good close look at a BROWN CREEPER in
good light, and being seranaded by a singing RAVEN at
the Greenway. We ended up with 67 species and a good
mix of birds.
