Subject: Need help to ID woodpecker on birthday card

I have no clue from personal experience, but just for fun, I had a look.
The
illustration in my European Peterson field guide does not show the yellow
forehead,
nor does the white on the nape extend all the way around. Since the
painting is
pretty detailed and otherwise matches Dendrocopos major, I wonder whether
this isn't
an Asian relative. Does anyone have a picture of Dendrocopos mahrattensis?
This
is also known as Yellow-crowned Woodpecker, and the subspecies D.
mahrattensis mahrattensis
is also known as Yellow-fronted Pied Woodpecker...

Franny,
I believe it's a great spotted woodpecker, Dendrocopus major, from Europe
and Asia.

Hi folks:

I was given a birthday card that had a painting of various
birds. I couldn't ID the woodpecker. I've attached a section of the card
that shows the woodpecker. Maybe someone knows what it is. (Apology to
those who can't access the attachment. It's the only way I can show this.)
