Hi, Tweets

A few days ago, the Seattle Times had a short piece on a stork in Africa. I
copied it for a biologist friend in za, and he sent back further
information and the Web site (below). The short article was:

"Mistaken Stork" - In an edgy worldwide atmosphere of terror attacks,
police in the East African country of Burundi captured and incarcerated a
South African stork suspected of spying activities. The alleged spy crashed
in Muyinga Province after apparently injuring its wing. Locals mistook the
satellite tracking device attached to its body for a spy camera and turned
the hapless bird over to police. Thanks to an e-mail address on the
equipment, an English-speaking resident of the area was able to contact a
professor at the University of Cape Town who confirmed that the stork's
name was Saturn and that its equipment was used to monitor migration
patterns. At last report, Saturn was convalescing under the care of
Burundian police."

For those of you who would like to read of Saturn's history and view a map
of his travels earlier this year, go
