The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is close to completing the manuscript for its new publication "Living with Wildlife in the Pacific Northwest." The project describes 50 or so bird, mammal, reptile, and amphibian species that people encounter while living in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. In addition to a biological profile of each species, each chapter includes the following sections: Tips for Seeing Wildlife, Solutions to Problems, Public Health Concerns, and Legal Status.

Anyone interested in reviewing and commenting on a draft copy of any of the 6-10 page chapters on birds (see list below) please make your request by replying to my personal email (linkrel at dfw.wa.gov). I'll send you a chapter via a Microsoft Word attachment or U.S. mail.
