Brownsmead Raptor count, Clatsop County, Oregon
October 25, 2001 1010-1110hr

A hatch-year WHITE-TAILED KITE was on Blind Slough near
the jct of Aldrich Pt Rd and Brownsmead Dike this morning.
RED-TAILED HAWK numbers are up considerably as well.

A flock of about 300 small-form CANADA GEESE were on
Jackson Rd. most of them appeared to be (and I'm going
against ODFW canon here) Aleutian Canada Geese. There
was a small group of Cackling Geese at one edge of the
flock for comparison. No collars. A single GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was nearby.
